Do not underestimate the importance of HR Policies.  They can be an effective tool for driving and influencing workplace culture for both mandatory and voluntary actions or HR initiatives

 

Were they developed with the organisations goals and objectives in mind?

 

Do they support your HR initiatives?

 

Are they simple to understand by staff or do staff refer to them at all?

 

Are they communicated effectively to staff?

 

Ensure your HR policies and/or procedures do not exist only to tick the audit or compliance boxes.
